ST.CHARLES QUARTET FAQs:

ST.CHARLES QUARTET FAQs:

Q: Why are we called the St. Charles Quartet?

A: Neil, the founder, is from St. Charles, Maryland.

Saint Charles Borromeo (Italian: Carlo Borromeo, 2 October 1538 – 3 November 1584) was a saint and cardinal. He is venerated as a saint of learning and the arts (appropriate for the St. Charles quartet!).  His patronage is against ulcers; apple orchards; bishops; catechists; catechumens; colic; intestinal disorders; Lombardy, Italy; Monterey California; seminarians; spiritual directors; spiritual leaders; starch makers; stomach diseases; São Carlos city in Brazil (as the name indicates)

Random fact: There is also a "St. Charles" in Illinois. Just today,St. Charles City Council Members (in Illinois) were planning to vote during their next meeting on whether to ban fake pot.

Q: How long have we been together?

A: The group was founded by Neil in 2004 but didn't really come together until Neil met Gabe in 2005 and formed the 1st group (Neil Puzon, Kate Saylor, Gabe Soloff and Aja Gabel).  In 2006, Kirill Romanov replaced Aja on cello and  Senovio Shish replaced Kate Saylor on 2nd violin.  Later in the year, Tara Planeta replaced Senovio.
In spring of 2007, Victoria Liu replaced Tara.  So our current group has been together for 3 years.
